Guidebook for young mothers, author: Irena Shara

I created a graphic design project for a guidebook for young mothers in the form of a binder, using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator, while maintaining ongoing consultations with the guidebook's author and the printing company.
Here's a description of the process involved in creating the project:
I began by gathering information about the guidebook, including its content, purpose, target audience, and preferred graphic style. Meetings with the author of the guidebook were crucial to understanding her vision and requirements.
Structure and layout planning: Based on the gathered information, I created a plan for the guidebook's structure and the layout of individual pages. Adobe InDesign was utilized to sketch the page layouts, considering the placement of text, graphics, headers, table of contents, etc.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I designed various graphic elements such as the guidebook's logo, illustrations, infographics, etc. These elements were designed to align with the guidebook's vision and capture the reader's attention.
In Adobe InDesign, I developed page templates that served as the basic layout for each page of the guidebook. I determined page properties such as size, orientation, margins, and created headers, footers, paragraph styles, fonts, and other elements.
Using the prepared templates, I placed the text and graphics in their appropriate positions. Throughout this process, I collaborated with the guidebook's author to tailor the content to the graphic design.
Proofreading and adjustment: I conducted proofreading of the text, corrected errors, adjusted formatting, alignment, and line spacing to ensure readability and visual appeal. At this stage, I also collaborated with the author to incorporate her feedback and suggestions.
Once the project was in an advanced stage, I consulted with the printing company to adapt the project to their technical requirements. I ensured that colors were properly configured, resolution was sufficient, and file formats complied with the printing company's specifications.
Based on the information from the printing company, I made final adjustments to the project, such as resizing, file format conversions, adding bleed and crop marks, etc. I also verified that all project elements were properly saved and ready for printing.
Throughout the entire process, I maintained regular consultations with the guidebook's author and the printing company, aiming to deliver a project that met their expectations and requirements.
